Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey’s Brigitte Kirk honored as 2015 "Working Mother of the Year" by Working Mother Magazine

Brigitte Kirk, Chief of Staff for the Chief Financial Officer at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey (Horizon BCBSNJ), has been named a 2015 "Working Mother of the Year" by Working Mother magazine. A mother of four and a 13-year employee with the company, Ms. Kirk received her award during a gala held by the magazine at the New York Marriott Marquis last Thursday evening.A resident of Hoboken, Ms. Kirk joined Horizon BCBSNJ in 2002 as the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). In this role, Ms. Kirk spearheaded the creation of a formal financial planning and analysis program for the company. She later assumed the leadership role of Chief of Staff to Horizon BCBSNJ's CFO, where she manages the business operations of the company's Finance division. Ms. Kirk has mentored many employees, which has aided in their professional growth, and hosted training sessions within the Finance division, which has helped to further diversify their skills. "Brigitte is a remarkably versatile leader and always eager and willing to take on new projects that improve the quality of services Horizon delivers to its 3.8 million members," said Alison Banks-Moore, Chief Diversity Officer for Horizon BCBSNJ.
