Cynthia Aureli, Director of Claim Operations for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey (BCBSNJ), has been named a YWCA Tribute to Women and Industry (TWIN) 2015 honoree. The award commends businesswomen who excel in their fields and who have made significant contributions to their workplace. The award was presented by the YMCA of Union County to Ms. Aureli on May 6, 2015 at the Hanover Marriott in Whippany.“As a leader who manages the processing of tens of millions of insurance claims every year, Cynthia is a role model in dedication and excels in building and motivating teams to tackle large and complex assignments,” said Alison Banks-Moore, Chief Diversity Officer, Horizon BCBSNJ.As director of Claim Operations, Ms. Aureli, of Totowa, manages the department’s 400 employees and the multi-location Claims Unit responsible for processing an annual volume of 60 million claims, which total approximately $11 billion.
